Almost all people I know are out for an Easter Sunday outing and vacation. I was watching TV shows when I was reminded of the beautiful white sands of Moalboal, Cebu.
Moalboal is a 4th class municipality of Cebu Island in Visayas, Philippines. It's located in the Southwest of the island, so the travel from Dumaguete City is really easy. The place is laudable for its beautiful white sand beaches and pristine waters for both local and foreign tourists. It's known as the "Diving Paradise of Cebu."

blue sky + white + blue water = SUMMER |
From our Whale Watching experience in Oslob to witnessing the mighty Kawasan Falls, we decided to try Southwest of Cebu by motorcycles. It was one of the fun-filled road trips ever. The scorching heat of the sun never discouraged us to continue the trip. We had a lot of stops, 'coz we're not familiar of the place. We didn't even have a guide or a map. We were both excited and enthusiastic on what would be ahead of us. Let me take you with me in my reminiscence.
During lunch, we asked one of the locals where we could see affordable a white sand beach resort nearby. Fortunately, Moalboal is few minutes from that small town. We headed right away and stopped again to ask where we could find a beach resort open to public for reasonable rate. No definite name of a resort was given to us; instead, the local told us to follow a particular direction. We followed and headed to that destination without hesitation.

Moalboal Cebu |
Reaching the place, I never expected it would look like a slum area with congested little nipa houses, but in a white sand. The entrance fee is indeed cheap and very affordable. I had a bad first impression over the place, 'coz I didn't want to wear swimsuit in front of these many people. Then, we reached the shoreline, there were many tourists and locals who enjoyed swimming the pristine water. That bad impression was blown away right then.

white sand in Moalboal, Cebu |
Moalboal shoreline is so amazing. Considering we only paid Php 10.00 to get this wonderful beach experience. We changed clothes to one of the rented CRs in the are, which is Php 5.00 per use.

Divers docking from Pescador Island |
We enjoyed the beach more than ever. If only we had enough time and money to explore nearby islands, we would love to.
