Mabinay Spring Resort is such a
natural paradise. With the icy cool water in the spring that forms like a
lagoon, kayaking is definitely an adventure you will never miss.

The clear green water is so
inviting. You just have to pay for an affordable fee of Php 50.00 to use the kayaks
for an hour. You can even rent one kayak, and get your turns to try it. We
rented two kayaks, and had fun.
The local people of Mabinay,
Negros Oriental are really proud of this gift from nature. The spring also serves
as the main water resource of the town. And please keep in mind that Mabinay is
the second largest town in Negros Oriental province.
The air is so fresh because of
the shades of century-old trees sprawling around the spring. Nature-lovers
would definitely love the relaxing ambiance in Mabinay Spring Resort.

This was my second time in kayaking. I was still afraid, because I didn't know how to swim. My friend Grah was even making fun out of me at the same time encouraging me to get easy and relax. I did! And it really works. Thanks again to her! ;-)

Actually dangerous yang kayaking kasi pwede kang tumaob. Wala bang pinapahiram na life vest. Each kayaker should wear one of that for safety's sake.
ReplyDeleteLagi kayong magkasama ni Grah. Partners in crime? :-P
I love kayaking so much, but to do it in a lagoon would be amazing!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a lot younger, my brother in law built a kayak that I used to love to take up and down the river by his camp.

Wow, this looks like you had an awesome time, Phioxee! I wish I could welcome spring there (right now we still have some snow but it should be getting warmer soon). Can't wait till our next trip to Philippines; I hope to come to Negros sometime.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing how Mabinay Spring is the main source of water for the town of Mabinay. I am sure the coolness of the water makes kayaking on a hot day a real pleasure.
Thanks again for stopping by my blog (http://theblackswampcornucopia.blogspot.com/) and commenting! Take care!
