Happy 1st Blogsary

Actually, I didn't know that it's my first blogsary today. I was just checking out my old posts, when I came to realize that I have been blogging for a year now.

I signed up for this blogspot account last 2009, but I deleted the old post I had four years ago. Those were ideas I got when I was in college, and they were mostly criticisms towards the society and the government. Yes, I wanted to be a catalyst of change, but I wanted it to be something positive. That’s why I choose travel for blogging category.

My first travel buddy is Gagay. She’s a pro/travel/photo blogger who has been for so many years encouraged me to pursue my passion in writing. She’s my classmate since Grade school, and we’ve been real friends for many years now. She has a lot of blogs, and I couldn’t even keep up with all those blogs. I guess she has about 20 blogs in different categories. Each of which has its own domain. She gave me my domain as a gift.

Walter is the travel buddy who has a lot of contributions on my blog photos. He was enrolled in a photography class last year and he needed to go places for different shots. We fortunately have the same available time, so we planned for different getaways. That’s even before I started blogging. He’s such a good man that even my boyfriend was so confident on our out of towns we had together.

Another travel buddy who really pushed me hard to go on blogging is my friend Xoxo_Grah. She’s been so enthusiastic for every comments I received and followers I gained for the past year. She even helped me with my blog designs and templates. Without her, I would have stopped. She always encourage me all the time to carry on no matter I received fewer views on a blog post. I really feel bad everytime a blog post does not reach 100 unique views. It feels like I featured something uninteresting to readers. But then again, I always remind myself that at least they know about that place through my blog. 

Months passed by, and I’ve met lot of online friends. I reached out to many blogging communities in different categories. I often enjoy travel and fashion blogs before. Then, later on, I started reading personal blogs, especially with Filipino bloggers. I became part of Pinoy Bloggers Outreach, which is a group of Filipino bloggers who aim to take blogging experience to the next level by fulfilling its mission to share heartfelt support to the less fortunate in the society.

I am really grateful how blogging change my day to day. Even a simple trip turns out to be a very exciting outing when I become a travel blogger. Every second counts when I am in another place and travelling. I treasure all memories in my digi-cam and make sure that I listed all the details. 

I want to thank those people and bloggers who supported Wanderer for the past 12 months. Thank you so much for those always visit my page, and to those who never fail to leave their marks on my comment box.
