Pulangbato Falls - Road Trip to Nature

Thank you so much for all your comments on my Twin Lake Exploration post. I was inspired to write about another road trip that recently happened. This time, we're a group, so it's more enjoyable. I am also sorry that it took ages before I could post another one. I went to join Buglasan Festival in Dumaguete City and Masskara Festival in Bacolod City. I had a very busy week.

Let me share to you how I enjoyed my roadtrip to Pulangbato Falls in Malabo or Ocoy Valley.
This is the first fall in Ocoy Valley known as Pulangbato Falls. Photo by: Walter Grapa

This photo is not edited. The above photo is from the internet. It's really read during Summer time.
Pulangbato Falls are situated in Ocoy Valley in my very own beautiful town Valencia, Negros Oriental. Click HERE if you want to know more about my place. It is called "Pulangbato" for it has a red river water. The place has a lot of reddish rocks that brings out the color red. The place is so accessible.
That's me. I was the one driving, so this was my get up.
We're six in the group, and Xoxo_Grah my favorite blogger took this photo.
With my favorite road trippers, we set up a date and visited Pulangbato Falls in Ocoy Valley. How did we get there? So easy!

Other Country >>>> Manila, Philippines >>>> Dumaguete City
 TO
Valencia, Negros Oriental >>>> Ocoy Valley >>>> Pulangbato Falls

We prepared "pancit and bread" for lunch. We were six in the group in three motorcycles. We met up earlier, so we can be there before 10:00 AM. The road trip was fun, and the weather cooperated. I was the one driving while Xoxo_Grah back-riding. We were chatting and laughing and didn't mind the rough road we're taking.
This is one of Filipino's favorite dish "Pancit"(fried noodles)

This is Pandesal (bread)
There was a recent flood, and the water damaged the bridge. Back-riders have to get off the motorcycle to pass by the bamboo bridge. But of course, we didn't want our friends walking and hiking so we passed by with them on our rides. I was actually anxious to pass, but I have to. I just focused on driving.

This was the view that quickly captures me from the entrance.
When we arrived, I was easily captivated by the view. The air was so cold, and the environment seem so peaceful. No one was checking in when we arrived, so we took a lot of pictures and explored the place. There was a 10.00-Peso entrance fee. Though the man-made swimming lagoon wasn't that attractive, the waterfall in the background was so captivating. It looked so enchanted when I first looked at it.
The Man-Made lagoon.
Me and Xoxo_Grah looking for the table to settle in.
We settled in the nearest table and decided to eat first. Then, we started the "photo-shoot". lol That's actually the main event of the trip - picturetaking. lol We changed clothes, so we could go into the waterfall. I was no swimmer, so I didn't like the idea of getting nearer the waterfall. But I still tried, though I didn't stand for more than 20 minutes.
I have to passed this water to get to the falls.
This situation is actually super good compared to the normal fall of the water. Still, these guys still thinking how to get to the fall. The stones were so slippery.
Finally, they're able to do it! THEY! not me. lol
I was struggling my way back. I couldn't stand the falls.
This was one of the candid shots. We're already complaining. We stopped by here to relax ourselves.
So we're up to a higher waterfall.
Since we couldn't stand the deafening blast of the water, we decided to go up. There were actually three waterfalls here in Ocoy Valley. We didn't make it to the top, but we did it to the first two waterfalls.
This was the second waterfall.
And, we finally did it.
We looked relax, but we're holding our breath afraid to fall in these slippery rocks.
After lunch time, many people were starting to come. With the cheap entrance fee and no corkage for outside food and drinks, groups usually brought drinks with them. We didn't want to mess up with other groups who were drinking nearby, so decided to get home. We bid goodbye and got our goodbye photos AGAIN. lol
We were waiting for the others to get enough of the waterfall.
This is Phoebe. She wanted to join one of the roadtrips, so she decided to come this time.
This is Xoxo_Grah. A blogger. Click HERE for her link.
This was us minus our very enthusiastic photographer Walter.
We're so ready to go.
Phoebe and Walter posed before Xoxo_Grah.
Hopefully I could go back to this place next time.
The trip was truly enjoyable. I wanted to do it in another place. I hope you enjoy the pictures and my boring story. I will be posting my Kawasan Falls in Cebu Island next time.

Just me,
Phioxee

  2. This is a good place to bring a SLR camera.

It is good that this place is still clean. The problem when a place is visited by people is the accumulation of garbage. Sana naman matuto ang mga bisita dito na huwag babuyin ang lugar ng basura nila.

    1. no worries. yung entrace fee bayad yun sa maintenance. hindi well developed yung daan papunta dito pero okay lang kasi nature na nature talaga

    2. Minsan din maganda na hindi well-developed ang isang lugar para hindi masira yung natural setting.
