Since we (Filipinos) are celebrating Nutrition Month for July, my first post will be about fitness. Just recently, Fun Runs and Night Runs have been one of the most popular events we can hear all around. And that is good news! People are getting more conscious on their health and physique. Though most still cannot let go of their vices, at least they have learned how to balance life.

Attended with mostly TeleTech employees, the Fun Run started as early as 6:00 AM. I wasn’t late, but not early. I played badminton in the morning, so I had to get a power nap, and that made my afternoon shorter. I woke up at 4:45 PM and ready myself for the run.
The Fun Run was held at TeleTech grounds, since my company is the host. Together with the operation management team, we started to run after the Gun Shot. Runners were laughing and giggling – not thinking that air is important in running and that laughing takes out the air. I did only smile and concentrate on my pace.
I started breathing heavily halfway of the run. I let out some air and shout. Only few of us were running then, and most runners were walking. We stopped and drunk water to hydrate, but never took a lot of it. It would only slow you down. Hydrating must be done an hour or two before the run.

We finished the Run for almost 40 minutes. An achievement for starters like us! We took a lot of pictures and enjoy the rest of the night.
