Boracay Island - Mediterranean Vacation at Le Soleil de Boracay

I never wanted to share my Boracay Escapade here on my blog, because I wasn't a travel blogger then. But, I started posting it last time in HERE. I promised myself to visit the place again, and this time I'll enjoy the place more than ever. And, out of boredom, I started to reminisce all those white sand beaches in my 2011 summer.
Le SOLEIL de BORACAY
Among the seven of us, only Joey has been to the island. He haven't enjoyed his stay with his colleagues, so for the second time, he went with us. We didn't arrange for any package tour thinking that we would have a cheaper deal.
Jowalsh, Joyce and Jico, Max and Phioxee, and Ichu and Joey
Only guests of  Le Soleil de Boracay can relax on these beach chairs.
Summer 2011 at Boracay Island
The moment we stepped on the island, we focused on finding Le Soleil de Boracay. We've seen this Mediterranean type of resort in the internet, and we fell in love with all those photos in its website. We called for a reservation, but even in a summer time of May, 2011, they're not fully-booked. I wonder why! Lemme you show instead.
WELCOME to Boracay Island
Inquiry on room rates and spent Php 5000.00 each for two nights for the stay.
When you walk in Boracay Island with all those big bags and stroller (my boyfriend carried it for me), you really attracts a lot of brokers. They're a lot of packages they offered to us, but we opted not to mind them. One asked where we plan to stay. Jowalsh told them, we're heading to Le Soleil de Boracay. The man simply smiled or I think he smirked. I wonder why!
Day 1 at Boracay Island
We finally reached station 2. There are three stations in Boracay Island. Station 3, 2, and 1. Accordingly, Station 1 is the upscale section of Boracay. It's the North-Western part of the white beach and home of the top Boracay hotels and resorts, or only for those of the elites in the society, and not only rich, but really rich in the country. It also offers the widest white sand beaches.
Station 2 is the heart of the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of Boracay Island. Resorts and hotels are all high-end and some are in budget category. Famous people like celebrities and rich families checking in these area. A lot of the action takes place in this area like the fire dancing, meal buffet in the beach, and especially night life. So, basically, we're not supposed to be checking in here. We're average, and our budget is really not enough. I wonder why we checked in here!
Station 3 is the section of Boracay Island where budget and native style bungalows are located. Before station 3, you'll have La Carmela de Boracay resort (famous in Filipino people because of Boy Abunda's endorsement. You can find cheaper hotels and eatery in the place. There are also a lot of thrifty shopping stalls here. It's also known as the quietest part of the white beach.

Now I know why that broker smirked at us. We're not supposed to be checking in to that expensive Le Soleil de Boracay. Urg! Anyway, we really had more hours in the resort more than the beach. Lemme show you some of the photos.

Joey and Ichu, and Max and I shared the Family Suite of Le Soleil de Boracay

Upstairs in Le Soleil de Boracay's Family Suite
Jico and Joyce, and Jowalsh shared the Deluxe room at Le Soleil de Boracay
twin-sharing bed and single-bed Deluxe room at Le Soleil de Boracay
We opted to stay here 'coz it's near the poolside.
Though this Deluxe room is less expensive than the Family Suite, we're more comfortable staying here.
We spent our time sleeping and hibernating.
The boys brought their PSP's and Jowalsh has her Macbook for NBA games. What else can the girls do? Sleep
Le Soleil de Boracay's swimming pool

Breakfast at Le Soleil de Boracay
Yes, the resort is indeed beautiful, but honestly, it's so expensive. We could have opted to get a tour package instead. Lesson learned? You'll need to get to know the place before you get there. It's better ready than sorry! I spent Php 18,000 in this Boracay Escapade, but well I enjoy the trip.

Now HERE is their package deal this coming summer 2013
Day 2 at Le Soleil de Boracay
Day 3 at Le Soleil de Boracay
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you'll be with me in my Boracay Island exploration and escapade on my next posts. Please leave your marks, too.

  27. i agree with you Phioxee, actually, most of the times you can save more with package all inclusive tours, however, the drawback is you may end up doing activities you do not like, but just for resort thing and foods, as long as you ar enot picky with foods, packages usually save more. but at least you had great time with great friends at a beautiful beach.
