She's with the two men who died. |
I know these photos are gross. Forgive me, please. I am a travel blogger, and I want you guys to know that we have to be careful in any place we visit. These people were not from Valencia, Negros Oriental, where the beautiful Casaroro Falls is situated.
Locals are always swimming in the waterfall, but they know exactly which part of the waterfall is too deep and where the part the current is too strong. There is no lifeguard, but tourists are always advise NOT TO SWIM. No lifeguard, because the entrance is free. Locals are the one maintaining the area.
Thank you for dropping by guys. Again, I am so sorry. Thank you for Greg Morales for the photos.
Just me,
Phioxee
THANKs for this Aicy... it's sad that this tragedy happened to them. I remember when we also went to Casaroro a long time ago. THANK GOD, nothing bad happened to us...

ReplyDeleteThis is really tragic. And to think that our slogan is More Fun in the Philippines. I think it's not enough to put signs there to say that it's dangerous. I mean, they are actually promoting the place for tourism and yet there aren't enough safety measures provided. It's like we're saying, hey look, Involuntary Suicide is More Fun in the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of morbid but thanks anyway for posting this. At least people should be aware of the dangers when local government is not providing safety measures for its people and tourists, and yet they have the guts to smile and lure people to places like this.
This is an incident that could've been avoided, but the authorities were too negligent.
Sad..I wish there could have been more warnings or a lifeguard to make sure tragedies like this wouldn't happen :(
ReplyDeleteYa dats true always continued advertised dat place is nice but ther are so many died ther but til now no ACTION or no babala we hop d local government give ther quick action or solution about ds kind of problem
ReplyDeleteTragic indeed!...God bless their souls...Sana lagyan nang signs that that the falls is not safe...this is not the first time...there has already been lots of victims...:(

Aw. I hope they rest in peace. Sana lagyan na lang din nila ng signs sa mga tourist spots kung san malalim, etc. para maging aware yung mga tao. :(

ReplyDeleteI am one of the victim's sister. It's really so painful losing someone so young & full of dreams and plans for his future. He's our bunso. He told us he will go home this christmas. It is heartbreaking thinking that we will never be able to spend christmas with him anymore... They weren't swimming at the falls. They were just taking pictures. If there were warning signs in the area, the accident might not have happened!!!
ReplyDeletecondolence po. wala talaga signs don. im staying here in valencia for six years now. honestly, i have never been to that enchanted place ever. my relatives refused to permit me to visit the falls.
Deletecondolence po to the family sa victims. Before na it wasn't yet hit by typhoon Sendong talagang may kunting babala on that place but now you can see nothing, because everything was carried by flood.
DeleteI am one of the victim's niece.it's hard to lost someone. :( .i will miss him always.if there were warning signs in the area, the accident might not have happend...
