Boracay Island Escapade

I'm glad that you're still with me in this Boracay Island Escapade. I don't want to bore you with all talks about the island, because I know you can have that in GOOGLE if you want to. (reasons 'coz I'm bored with all these long series of Boracay Island post. I JUST HAVE TO)
powdery white sand beach of Boracay Island
But actually, the main reason why I have to do all these posts is that, Boracay Island is now facing problems like overcrowding and insufficiency of water supply, and other environmental issues. I just recently heard from the news last January, 2013 that the government is planning to demolish 200 illegal structures that violates the 30-meter easement from the shoreline.
Boracay Island
Most of these illegal structures are owned by commercial establishments and rich-owned residences. I am not really sure how would the government may do the demolition this year (2013).
Boracay Island
Accordingly, the owners of these establishments agreed to voluntarily removed these illegal structures as long as no exemption, and the rules and laws are implemented fairly. This would mean that even government-owned structures will be removed then. Well, I hope they'll come up with a win-win plan for the developmental progress of Boracay Island. They should consider all actions that may contribute to the sustainable growth of the entire island.

Anyway, let me tour you around the island. Last time, I only share how we get HERE, and how we enjoyed Le Soleil de Boracay RESORT.
Friends at Boracay Island
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this summer, unfortunately, Boracay Island isn't the top of the list that I could suggest. But if you're looking for a fun-filled summer experience, then why wait? Book a trip to Boracay Island.

Other than strolling around the island, there are lots of activities you would definitely want to try in Boracay Island. I strongly suggest you try them all to make most of your stay in Boracay. You may also visit famous landmarks in the island.

indulge yourselves with the island's yummy treats
seafoods and buffets
enjoy the powdery white sand of Boracay Island
visit the mountainous area of the island
witness the sunset in Boracay Island
The island has a lot more to offer. During night time, you would have the best party people you would think of. Night life would definitely be memorable.

Thank you so much for visiting today. I really hope the government would do something to preserve Boracay Island. I'm still looking forward in visiting the place with my own family and kids. Till next time.

  4. The last time I was in Bora, I didn't like that it's too crowded... Argh... Though the island is still the best I've ever been so far...

You really had a blast... Again, please include expenses... hehehe

  7. Wow, ibang side naman ng Bora ang kinuwento mo dito. Talaga bang napabayaan na ang ipinagmamalaki nating lugar na ito? Sobra na ba ang pang-aabuso? Calling Pnoy.....

  8. This entry made me miss Boracay.

I read din sa news that there's a mammoth complex na itatayo sa Bora. I'm wishing na Boracay will not be over-abused or over-burdened by this.

...and the project is expected to be completed in 2015. We have only two years to enjoy what remains of the once-splendid Boracay.

  21. Oh my god, this is so BEAUTIFUL. Manny Pacquio's villa is insane!:D And as the issue with illegal structures is obviously very "popular" nowadays, people have the same problem in Croatia as well. But why do I have a feeling that government buildings won't be demolished...:)

  22. I love white sand. It is so soft compared to the sand we have when I go to the shore.

    Great picture.

  26. It looks like such an amazing place. It's a shame about the overcrowding, water and environment issues. I'm from Fiji, and whilst we're smaller, and less populated if we aren't careful the same may well start to happen there. It's a real shame that there isn't a more concerted effort to build sustainably in these areas.

I also just wanted to thank you for the very kind comment you left on my blog. Thank you xoxox

  29. sad that Bora is facing some environmental issues including overcrowding, pero actually di na sya bagong news, ilang beses na sya na-feature sa tv way back pa, also because of overcrowding and some illegal structures, poor zoning/planning din ata. anyway, sana eh maayos nila yan, considered sya as one of the best tourist destination, sayang naman kung masisira lang. at di pa ko nakapunta dyan, di ko rin kase trip masyado ang crowded na lugar lalo na kung beach.

  35. Wow it looks amazing, and pretty crazy that they're considering to do so much demolishing - why were buildings allowed to be there in the first place?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wahhh, that absolutely looks incredible -- a little piece of paradise, hm?
Here it is around zero Degrees Celsius and snowing all the time. I really would love to jump in my bikini just now and go out and get a sun tan, get into the sea and play!!

It is a disaster how humankind treats nature sometimes. Over here in Europe they even consider privatising drinking water ... wtf.

Thank you for stopping by at my small place! I shall make sure to post in English again next time! ;-)
    Love,
